I think it is unfair for a team with a combined 80 strokes be allowed to win a tournament when all other teams participating are either 57 or 58. I think the team that was declared the winner should respectfully decline and allow the other teams to collect the winnings and bask in the glory of true equal competition. Thanks
"The gunny" is right that the winning team had a huge advantage. I made a poor battlefield decision ... a 12 handicap dropped out at the last minute, there was a guy available & I stuck him in. Probably should have just did a blind draw for their replacement player score.
However, don't want them to decline their prize. They played well; the high handicapper could have bombed on his holes. Because of my "faux pas," I did pay the 2nd place team much higher than usual.
We probably should replace the Tournament Director !!!
